About the Third Edition Team

The publishing team includes the editors, who guide the development and oversee all other aspects of the process, the maketing team, who provide information to instructors, and the production team, who create the cover and the interior design, and bring all of the pieces together and make them ready for the printer.

Susan Hartman Sullivan has been our primary editor through the second and third editions of the book. She received some crucial assistance from Emily Genaway during the preparation of the third edition. Susan and Emily worked tirelessly to ensure that the book met the highest quality standards. Emily has since moved on to other pursuits, and she will be missed.

Michael Hirsch, with the help of Lesly Hershman and Karen Schmitt, leads the marketing effort, making sure that instructors understand the pedagogical advantages of the text. They are supported up by a wonderful team of representatives.

Patty Mahtani led the production effort at Addison-Wesley. Joyce Wells had the creative and crucial task of coming up the book's interior layout and cover.
